New MTN contract application bad application

MTN service when applying for a contract phone is honestly a hustle. I app**** for a contract via an iStore, was told that I need to apply for an MTN sim so that they can monitor my credit, at first that consultant said it will only be for few months but when they sent, I noticed it is for 24 months, I refused because I do not need a LTE sim when I have wifi that I use, requested him to cancel my application but he did not.

Earlier this year, I app**** again and was told that my previous application needs to be canceled for them to go ahead, sent an email, cool that was done. 17 January, I got another call after doing another application, the lady said the courier will contact me etc, never heard from MTN ever again.

So I decided to call but no one came back to me, so I discovered that iphone 13 pro max was discontinued, I then decided to apply for an iPhone14 prox max 256gb. Got a call from this wonderful lady, she helped me and I got smses that everything was approved etc and that I should expect the phone with 3 to 7 working days. Today the 8th I get a message stating that there is a shortage and no one called me. Couple of minutes, I get numerous messages regarding a new application, I even get an email, when I check the email, I discover that it shows iphone 14 pro max 128gb, I was shocked because I've never app**** for that.

I then did an enquire and I was told that either the system or an agent that helped with the last application did the new application and that if they cancel this one, I will need to reapply again and need to wait for 30 days before I can do another one.

Just note that a new phone application means another credit check which is affecting my own credit score, this is really frustrating because this causes more damage on my own image.

This has been the worst service I've ever received, because if a phone is low on stock, one could have called to check what the way forward could be, they could have checked with me if I am willing to wait until I get another phone instead of them doing another application without my knowledge
