New customer sim card deliver problems

This is a mixed review. At first I had a positive experience with the Mtn black friday deal. I am a new customer and it was quite easy to create a contract data deal online. It was efficient and the simcard was delivered two days later. BUT then the courier tried to scan my fingerprint for Biometrics to authenticate - this is quite concerning as I did not give consent it was just the only way for me to receive my package - this is a POPI act concern. The biometrics could not be authenticated - so the simcard was returned and no one has called me yet. So don't know if I am going to be receiving the sim card. I don't understand why my biometrics were needed to receive a courier package. This was not communicated on the website.
