New contract phone problems and terrible service
I took out an MTN contract on 4/02/2016. The first call I had I was told there was a bad echo on the line of the person calling me. Not realising it was a problem with my phone I didn't bother until a few more callers mentioned this.
I called the MTN customer service line on 10/02/2016 and spoke to Sindy who said the problem should be resolved by 2pm the next day and I should call in if it wasn't (ref number ***). As expected the problem was not resolved so I called the following day and spoke to a rude man who's name unfortunately eludes me. After telling me no one by the name of Sindy works there, when I offered to give him the reference no he said he doesn't want it just my cell number.
He then said he can't help me until i test my sim in another device, since I didn't have access to a nano sim phone to test, he said i should go in to a store. On 25/02 i went to the waterfront store and the consultant to refused to check my sim saying that it's the phone and i have to book it in for repairs(5-7 days)

This fault was reported within the 7 day out of box failure period and your consultants just passed the buck between the call center and store. I am disgusted at the service!
