New contract dispute (FAIS CASE)
Day 1 .
On the 16th May 2025, I received a call from MTN upgrades to upgrade from Month to Month to a 24 months contract. The agreed terms on the call were as follows : 150G Anytime data for R279. The consultant couldn’t verify my reference number because the ref number had not populated on my emails. We then concluded to having me accept the Debie-check mandate on my banking app. However after the call, the contract I received stated that I should pay R389 for 100G anytime data and 50G streaming data, which was not what I agreed on the call. This morning I have been on the call with MTN consultants being taken from piller to post from customer care to Rewards. This is not the first time this is happening. The same thing happened to me last year when I upgraded my contract and I received the incorrect contract. I was charged over R900 for cancellation. I moved on from this hoping it won’t happen again. This year again having to upgrade my contract, I am being given what I didn’t agree upon. If this is not corrected, I will lay a formal complaint with FAIS if this is not resolved within the 10days period without me getting debited unnecessarily. I’d also like for the recorded call to be made available from the 16th May. My contact number is ***, email ***
