Network issues STILL not receiving attention

I have lodged numerous complaints to MTN's coverage complaints department and am now reaching breaking point as to my tolerance for being **** to and getting the run around.

This is unacceptable. Either no one is willing or able to do their jobs or they are just plain dishonest.

I have been a happy MTN customer for ages and even migrated some of our vodacom contracts over to MTN because the reception of MTN was always better than that of vodacom. Not since last year anymore and NO ONE is willing to attend to my queries and complaints??

What is it going to take for MTN to actually deliver the service I am PAYING for??

Network issues STILL not receiving attention

Our network issues are still not resolved. I have phoned the network department countless times and also left millions of messages for the technician who came out to do the inspection - NO JOY. Eventually I got through to the technician (as I phoned from my Vodacom number which he didn't know to screen, because I cannot use my MTN one) and he said that I just need to phone the Network Complaints department again and get a reference number to follow up on.

How many times are reasonable to expect me to phone to complain about the same issue? How many reference numbers are necessary before action can be taken?

In one of the follow up calls I made (as no-one phones me back) the lady said that they have requested a booster to be installed at my premises and they are just waiting for the authorisation on the purchase order. Subsequent calls - no one knows about it.

This is getting too much. MTN - would you PLEASE please PLEASE attend to my months long issue!?

I am paying my bill every month. You have brilliant systems in place to collect my money - would you please assist me that I may be able to actually USE the service I am already paying for!?

Network issues STILL not receiving attention

A technician from MTN came out in mid-October and found that there is indeed merit to my network complaints. I have ever since tried to contact MTN again to get feedback on what they intend to do to remedy the situation. I cannot get through to anyone and none of my phone calls are answered and none of my messages are being returned.

Since last week the network has deteriorated again and I've been struggling with absolutely NO signal. I cannot make voice calls or send basic sms's and the calls that do go through, gets dropped. The data signal does not work AT ALL - except for 3am.. then all the sms's and voicemails comes through.

Is there ANYONE who can assist me in this regard?

I am incurring way too much extra costs with my vodacom prepaid data together with my MTN contract which I now cannot use!

A copy of my 1 October 2018 hellopeter complaint:

I have been contacting MTN's Network Complaint department for a couple of weeks now and still have not had the issue resolved. The only response I received is that it has been escalated and that someone from the Polokwane office will get back to me. No-one ever does.

I am struggling with dropped calls and the most frustrating data connection that also keeps on dropping. I can literally watch how my signal indicator goes from No service to Egde to 3G and then drops back to No service. Just sending a basic e-mail of less than 2MB (YES, MB...) or doing a bank transaction is a process that now takes me anything from 2 minutes to more than half an hour or having to give up and try again later. It is absolutely ridiculous!

I understand that I am not in a big hub with LTE and all that, but all I am asking for is a STABLE signal - even if it is slow.

Customer care did advise me that our area is on an upgrade list, but they've been saying that since beginning of 2017 and the service is just deteriorating.

Would someone please contact me urgently in this regard.

Thanks
