I had numerous network problems which included dropping calls when reception was seen as very good, alien-like garbling of calls and dropping calls. I could not talk for more than a few minutes and the call was compromised. I reported it to the Stellenbosch Branch of MTN several weeks ago and they told me that there WERE network problems. I called the call centre and was put through to Network Operations. They told me that there was no problem and that I should get a new LTE sim card. I went to a branch in Pinelands and got a new LTE sim card and the problems continued. I logged a complaint with the networks department two weeks ago and have had no response. I have spoke to numerous MTN clients who complain of the same problem. I need my phone for my job. It appears to have become slightly better but the problem still persists, even today. I think that it is a problem that MTN are hiding. If you are in a contract you are stuck with them. They should own up to the problem and tell their clients how they are going to fix it. I will cancel my contract when it expires unless I get the truth.
