Negligent and incompetenet MTN insurance "service" should be s****ped

18 days of frustration and inconvenience before incorrect device is returned to me.

I made a claim to replace or repair a damaged Samsung S6 using the MTN insurance I took out when I purchased the phone. The claim was made on 28 March. Bearing in mind how critical a phone is to day-to-day work and life, I expected this insurance service to replace the phone instantly - or at least within a day or two.

Despite many hours of my time spent on hold to call centres and writing emails - the repaired phone was returned to me today 17 March - 18 days later. But wait for it - the phone returned to me is not mine. They sent me somebody else's phone - and seem to be very confused about who they sent my phone to in error. I can only wonder hom many more days of bungling I have to deal with before this is sorted out.

In short MTN Insurance is expensive (rather add your phone to your household insurance - cheaper and better service) and a waste of money. If I had known the pain I would have to go through in making a claim I would have saved myself the trouble and bought a new phone the day that mine was damaged.

Summary of MTN Insurance - Incompetenet. Negligent. Uncaring. But efficient in deducting my premiums. MTN you have no pride in your service or your brand - shame on you.

I am now on day 21 without a phone.
I would have expected that as the entity that I have contracted with, MTN would take responsibility for this. Rather, you have reffered it to your outsourced service provider who has broken every promise to me since this debacle started. Megan Hope - who manages the Pinnacle call centre - promised to resolve this and to get back to me by 2pm on Friday about when my new phone would be delivered to me. It is now 10am on Monday and I have not heard from her. I have left messages for her, but have not emailed here as she told me that she does not read her emails.
How about intervening - sourcing a phone for me to be delivered today - and having the decency to call me back and met me know that this is resolved? That's the least that I would expect.
