Negligence led to damages and no responsibility being taken

In November, MTN and Huawei, together with Strakz as I now understand it, were installing fibre in Lonehill. During this installation, the onsite team hit my water mains and thankfully I was on my way out in the morning and saw this. I found the team and asked them to investigate and call me so that we could get this resolved. This was around 08:30.
At 11:30 I received a call from my wife who had gone home to collect something that our house was flooded. I immediately went home and discovered that the onsite team had not only repaired the leak, thus performing work on my property without my approval, but they had closed the main water valve to do so. Upon completion of their repair, they fully opened the water mains to its fullest extend immediately without allowing the pressure to build up again, which I have confirmed with every plumber I have spoken to that needs to be done. The resultant surge of excessive pressure caused a connector under the bathroom sink to pop off.
The reason I had asked to be called was so that I could understand what they wanted to do, as well as to ensure that I was hope to supervise, and if this was done, the majority of the damage caused could have been avoided as we could have shut off the mains immediately.
As I had no joy from any party I had no option but to proceed with an insurance claim, and there were 2 items outstanding that insurance would not cover to a total replacement value of R14,0000.
My wife and I spent 2 days trying to extract water from our house because no one was available, and then we only managed to get full resolution and replacement towards mid December through the insurance.
After an excessively long period of 8 months, I have received feedback that they will not validate my claim for the balance of R14,000 against a R130,000+ insurance claim that I had to put in. The reason for refusing my claim was a so called defect in a flexipipe under the sink. However, I still have the exact same flexipipe and have had my own plumber come out to verify that the connection and pipes are all 100% ok.
Clearly between MTN, Huawei and Strakz, there is no regard for the damage or impact they cause to people's lives and even less so sense of responsibility. This is an abhorrent view to take when they caused significant damage to my house without having any approval to do any work on my premises.

Unless MTN or Huawei takes accountability and provides the proof of the defect as they claim this to be, I will be looking at taking this matter further.

I'd be interested to hear what your feedback in the coming week is.

Sadly I am not suprised that nothing has come from this. Nothing at all. Not even a phone call or an email from anyone from any of the parties.
