My contract suddenly changed to Pay as you go??

I have been a MTN contract subscriber for close on 20 years. My 2 year contract expired in June and I got a call from someone wanting to extend my contract. I am not in a position currently to commit to a 2 year contract, so I advised that I would like to keep the MTN500 but pay month to month. I was advised this could be done but the monthly rate would be slightly higher. I accepted this but wanted someone from billing to confirm what the new price would be. <br> <br> Suddenly I have been changed to pay as you go with no minutes or data? I run a business and now cannot call out or get onto the internet. I have tried calling the call centre for over 2 hours now and it goes in an endless loop and I cannot ever speak to anyone. <br> <br> This is terrible service. How can you change me to pay as you go without at least calling to confirm first what I would like. Time to take my business elsewhere.
