I joined MTN SUPERFLEX about 3 months ago because I was attracted by the advert that says "unlimited calls" on this packed deal and I ported my number to mtn. I have just received an sms today from MTN saying that I still do not comply with the Acceptable Usage Policy as per clause 14, (I had received an sms about clause 14 on the usage policy during the first month of using this product), now this sms says my number will be moved to the prepaid plan on 08/10/2024.
I then went through clause 14 again and I could not really understand as to which part did I violate because there is a number of things listed under clause 14. I then called customer care to get clarity but the agent had no clue about this product. He just said its either over usage of calls, data or smsz. I then asked what is the measure and limit because I do not understand, so that I will know how to limit myself. I took out this deal because I know I like making calls and it said "unlimited calls" but now if there is no specified time or limit on calls, how will I measure over usage.
I know that the regular contacts that I call are not more than 10 even though I spend a long time on the calls with them sometimes. I rarely send smsz. When it comes to data, I connect to my office wifi during office hours and connect my home wifi after hours, hence, I am in the dark about the specifics of this over usage.
I feel ****med for using this product because someone determines "over usage" without me knowing exactly how that is measured (there is no transparency) and the a decision is taken that my number will be moved to prepaid. They ended up moving my number to prepaid on 07 October instead of 08 October that was on the notification sms. They had already deducted the premium for October and now they decided to cancel my contract. I am assuming that I forfeited that premium. This is a ****
