MTN's Unjustified Enrichment From Taking Money for Customers and Not delivering the orders purchased

I concluded a contract with an MTN agent over the phone on 27/10/2023. The order was supposed to be delivered on 31/10/2023 but wasn't. When I contacted DSV to investigate they advised that MTN had cancelled the order. I have already paid for this device yet MTN is holding it hostage. The worst is that none of the agents care to assist me resolve this. I was warned by many other people of the terrible service of MTN but I went against that advice and better judgment. I called *** and spoke to an agent named Noxolo ( working under the supervisor Riley Naidoo) . She was not interested in assisting me and after explaining my challenges she deliberately transferred me to a Repairs department just to get rid of me. I have been transferred to different agents all of which were to prestigious to assist. No one has assisted. I just want my money back at this point. Please, I will pay the Vodacom price at this point because going cheap and choosing MTN is a curse that the customer must bare.

Let me not even begin to mention the nightmare that is the MTN call centre. Horrific! The agents are miserable, None of them care to resolve anything. MTN thinks that they are entitled to our hard earned money. As long as you've paid then MTN does not care. The MTN stores and the MTN call centre/ online operations are like two different companies. You can NOT expect to go to the store for help, they don't know anything about online purchases or how a frustrated customer whose been ****med by MTN of her money can do for assistance. The MTN Store in Eikestad Mall in Stellenbosch is even worse, they are like the disowned arm of the MTN Group and openly express their disdain for customers who have made purchase online. They are ******** and clueless of any MTN operations outside the parameters of they small and a few square meter store.

The MTN contact numbers are an embarrassment. You can never get transferred through to a relevant person. OR you'll just speak to an agent who will confidently give you an MTN department number that does not exist.

Sometimes as SA citizens we run away from the Vodacom price but to be honest , we pay an even higher price by going cheap and choosing incompetence. Rather stick to the best and don't compromise.
