MTN’s Pathetic Turnaround Time is Costing Me!

I am writing this to express my absolute disgust at MTN’s service levels. I have been struggling for two weeks to get a disconnected number back. Despite numerous follow-ups, I have received zero feedback. This number is linked to my banking and essential services, and your incompetence is now causing me actual distress and functional problems. The fact that I have to resort to HelloPeter just to get a response is a testament to how broken your customer service is. I want this sorted TODAY. No more excuses, no more 'we are looking into it.' I want my number back or a definitive explanation as to why your team is incapable of doing their jobs.

Agent PN confirms the number is in the DMA pool but refuses to help because of internal 'decommissioning' rules. This is a violation of consumer rights for a recoverable service."

Update : MTN is trying to hide behind a '7-day reactivation rule' to cover their own negligence.
My number was disconnected on the 17th of Jan.
I called in on the 18th of Jan (I have the call logs to prove it).
I followed up again on the 21st, 23rd, and 24th.
Only on the 23rd did an agent finally bother to give me a reference number (REQ***).
Now, after ignoring my calls for two weeks, they claim it’s 'too late' because 7 days have passed. You cannot penalize a customer for your own staff's failure to log a request correctly on the first day. This is a deliberate attempt to hijack a number that is still in the DMA Pool. @TheCGSO @ICASA_SA please note this bad faith conduct.

Update : After 14 days and multiple escalations, the number has finally been reactivated. It took involving the Executive team and threats of ICASA to get a result. Issue resolved, but the process was unnecessarily difficult
