MTNLF*** / 5
My mother Christina Kwinana, has an account with MTN associated with her mobile number ending with 8826.
The insured mobile handset, a Samsung Galaxy A7 is an insurance payout of the Sony M5. The handset insured by MTN, in my mother's name has always been used by me, with my number ending with 8513. We recently claimed from insurance as the handset fell, pieces fell apart and the screen cracked. As a result, while the handset seems to still operate, I cannot see anything on it's screen. I was not even able to backup my data, before the courier company came to collect the handset today. I submitted it to the courier with the sim card and memory card still inside.
I thought MTN was collecting the handset to issue us with a new handset to the maximum value insured. I had not realised that the courier was collecting the handset, without offering a loan device. If at all possible, may we please ask for the handset to be replaced?
Thank you,
Nangamso Kwinana
