MTN: You are eligible for upgrade.

So I get an sms from mtn on Saturday, 07/12/2019, stating that I am eligible for an upgrade and they have a black Friday deal for me(black Friday ended 2 weeks ago). Here's the message: "Y'ello! You are eligible for upgrade You missed out on Black Friday. We still have a Black Friday deal for you. Go to your local MTN Store or call *** to get your personal BF offers on Contract Advisor for +27***XX5315 T's & C's apply, Dial *135# to opt out." Step 1: Go to mtn store on the same day(Blue route mall Cape Town). They tell me my upgrade date is 24 January and there's nothing they can do about it. Step 2: I phoned *** as the store suggested, I get a response "service has been suspended". So then I phoned 135 and spoke to a consultant, who told me almost immediately to phone ***. Step 3: I go back to the mtn store, because now I have nowhere else to go. They give me generic excuses and told me to try again on Monday as that number is business hours only. The store manager also told me that he would find out on Monday and call me. That didn't happen. Step 4: Wait until Monday and call the number I was told to call***), still unavailable. Step 5: Go back to mtn for the third time. Same generic excuses pointing me to the number that is unavailable the whole time. Refusing to assist me in any way. Now I have nowhere else to go, no one else to call, turning to this for assistance. My next step would be to cancel my contract, I was made really excited by this notification and the fact that not a single person at mtn can help me is leaving me no other choice.
