MTN - WORST SERVICE EVER! DON'T BELIEVE THEIR DEALS

Everyone told me how great MTN is..... So I thought to maybe move over and open an account. I have app**** online on the 27th of Nov for a bundle special. They sent me a mail to say thank you and to get my documents in place, because they will contact me soon. Last night (10 Dec) they sent me a SMS to inform me that they cannot proceed with the application.

I took my banking statement, ID , Proof of residence and income and visited the MTN Robertson store. That was such a waste of my time. The gentlemen said that he cannot do anything because it is an online sale and that I should contact the helpline.

I was on the line for over an hour, phoned 7 different numbers and spoke to 13 "helpers" / "customer support" or whatever they are called. NO ONE could assist me or point me in the correct direction. Even while I am busy talking they just put me on hold or transfer me over and over and over again. I hold the line for 16mins just to be transferred again - this all on MY ACCOUNT.

MTN do offer wonderful deals, I left my details and if I get response in the next 24 hours I will comment again and maybe consider it - but at the moment I am SO DISGUSTED and can't believe I have wasted so much time and money to try and do business with them.
