MTN Woodlands

MTN woodlands poor customer service. i regret taking a contract with MTN. Long story short i took out a phone contract for an iphone 13 fast forward to 2024 i kept getting endless calls from MTN online sales department mentioning they see i still buy more data with my phone and they would like to offer me a router with a data sim to pay a certain amount which i eventually agreed to since the agent mentioned i can cancel it anytime at no charge. Little did i know as my phone contract ended, i opted for a data only package as i am not interested to upgrade my phone and i attempted to cancel the router as i no longer see the need for it now i'm being told stories about how i have to pay the router and data for 36 months in which i was never told. I further requested the recording of the day i took it as i vividly remember what happened. They forwarded me to retentions and logged my complaint. Now its has been over a year and still haven't gotten a response back from them and now they want to charge me R935,00 every month. Why? I am beyond livid and i do not advise anyone to take a contract with MTN zero professionalism, zero empathy. Now they have blocked my number for my phone contract that is now fully paid off due to them refusing to cancel the router and data for the other number. i feel so defeated.
