MTN Woodlands

I am so fed up with MTN, i Cant get hold of MTN woodlands, where i have handed my phone in for repairs, been phoning for 2 days now.

I have handed my new handset in (not even 5 months old) due to issues with the phone, and was informed that my phones waranty has been voided due to a scratch on the screen. I agreed and they booked it in for normal repairs. They have my phone and was suppose to book it in for repairs 2 weeks ago but now i get a message saying that the phone is back at the shop and been rejected??? For what? I filled in a form for repairs that my insurance would pay, not even on the waranty! I have all the paperwork to prove this. I have been without a phone now for 2 weeks. I was promised that the phone would be back at the shop and fixed within 2 weeks... now i have to wait again! This is bull****, why should i pay for this poor service!

Dear Alice

I have been battling to get a hold of MTN woodlands now for the past 3 days, and it is now becoming a problem ( ********** )

Just to give you the full background regarding my situation

I have booked my phone in at MTN woodlands for repairs due to the fact that the phone kept freezing on me. The phone is only 5 months old but the store manager advised me that the warranty was voided due to the fact that the phone was scratched. Both of us agreed to then just book the phone in for normal repairs that I would pay for out of my own pocket.

The man who helped me fill in the forms advised me that I would receive a message from them on the 13/03/2017 saying that the phone has been booked in. This was not the case thou. I only received a message on 20/03/2017 saying that my phone has been rejected and is back at the store?

I am unable to do my job properly because i cannot read emails on the phone I am using. I cannot make payments at all, due to the fact that FNB has changed their OTP pin to having to log into your cellphone banking app. I cannot do this because the banking app is linked to my phone that MTN has at the moment, and i have tried loading it on another phone but it does not allow me.

I have phoned the repair cener of MTN ( ********** 349) and was advised to "just go pick up the phone from the branch". The problem with this is that I live in Hoedspruit, a 5 hour drive from Woodlands. This is not easy for me.

I was advised by MTN hoedspruit to take my phone back to where I upgraded or anywhere in the big cities because the turn-around time is a lot quicker and since i need my phone for work I thought this is then better. Clearly not.

I have been with MTN now for almost 10 years and I am tempted to not only cancel this contract but have all of the contracts owned by me, and family members cancelled.

This is not the first time that MTN has ignored me. I have phoned constantly from January regarding signal issues.

Reference: ********** and **********

I was willing to pay for the phone to be fixed because I needed it to be fixed quickly, but now i don't think it is fair to expect me to pay? Because what am i paying for?
