MTN will block your MoMo account and they will not return your money.

My MTN MOMO has been blocked and MTN will not unblock or return my money. This is for everyone, but mostly small business and foreigners. DO NOT USE MTN MOMO. 2 months ago, my made a MOMO account. I deposited my hard earned money, a total of almost R30 000. Next day MTN blocked my account. Since 2 months, I have been emailing, no response, and when you call them, they say that it can take 1 month, or 3 months, or 6 months or 12 months because the back office people are very slow. I have done research and will be opening an official case with the authorities to bring this behaviour to light for the public, but in the meantime, i recommend all South Africans to not use MTN MoMo, they will encourage you to deposit money, but then they will most likely block your account or find a reason to block your account and hold your money.

I would recommend using VodaPay. The staff is amazing and very helpful.
