MTN- where the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing

On 03/4/19 at 6pm I received a phone call from MTN telling me my current contract had expired; and , was offered a new contract. I chose one for R99. I changed my mind about this contract and went to MTN Musgrave Centre just before 5 pm on 05/4/19. At Musgrave I was told by Sihle that there was no contract on the system. He said cancellations was closed and that I should phone on Monday 08/4/19. I phoned cancellations just after 8am on 08/4/19 and was told by Anna that there was no contract on the system. I then said I wanted to go on pre-paid. She suggested I go on a R39 contact: Flexi55 and I agreed to that. About 30 minutes later I received an sms from MTN saying my contract was migrated/ upgraded and that my next contract date was 08/4/2021. At 6pm on 09/4/19 I received an sms saying I had been put on the R99 contract (the same one I had tried to cancel on both 05/4/19 and 08/4/19. I phoned Sihle at Musgrave, early 10/4/19. He said Anna had not done what she was supposed to do when I spoke to her on 08/4/19. He sent an email to Summertime MTN and said the R99 contract would be cancelled within 7 days. I phoned Summertime MTN on 12/4/19 to check on the progress of the cancellation. I spoke to several different people- all with a different story about what was happening/ going to happen- concerning the R99 contract I had tried to cancel. One person I spoke to said that Anna could not effect the changes I requested on the morning of 08/4/19 as MTN had had a system problem! I have had no success getting this resolved. I have reference number for every single call I made. At the time of writing this I have been waiting for Sihle at MTN Musgrave to phone me back (Melanie at Musgrave could/ would not help me [ too many messages on the system about this issue]). This is absolutely outrageous and unacceptable that I should have to waste so much time and energy making these calls and there is still no resolution in sight! Sincerely, Sheryl H.
