MTN - When you want to get listed for no good reason

I got offered a cell phone contract over the phone on the 4th April 2017 for a Huawei P8 Lite with Mobile Plus. I received the device on 20th April 2017 was unhappy with it and returned it within the cooling off period 26 April 2017. A MTN lady by the name of Thato helped me, she sent an email to ********** with all the details. I called early May to cancel spoke to Keanan ***, he said it will take 2 days, an agent will call me within that time or just after. I received no calls. 31 May 2017 a debit of R165.61 was made from my account. I do not have the device . I called again on 23 June 2017, they said that they have no record of the returned device that the line is still active and that I will continue to be charged for a device I do not have. Due to my frustration I put this on hellopeter and a lady by the name of Shanel is currently assisting in getting me reimbursed and getting the outstanding line cancelled from Mobile Plus side. As there is an existing query and I did not want to be deducted another month for a phone I do not have and a service I am not making use of, I stopped the debit order but now I have been listed. I followed up with Shanel and she said I need to take it up with MTN because they process the debit orders. I called MTN ********** spoke to a lady by the name of Notando and explained the history. She said that I need to call MTN Legal ********** 945 but when calling this number it goes to Chubb. How am I going to resolve this serious issue which is no fault of mine when I can't even get hold of the people in question? This affects my credit rating and my future financial endeavours. I will spread the word that MTN is quick to list you without calling and investigating. I got no phone calls enquiring about my non-payment, no statements etc. My sister is in the law profession and she will advise me further from a legal perspective. So I suggest someone from MTN legal get hold of me ASAP and sort this out because I will be taking this further.
