MTN-WESTWOOD MALL *****

On the 25 November 2016 I had attended the Westwood Mall MTN store wherin they were running a black friday special. I stood in the que for 3.5 hours with the intention of upgrading my cellular contract which was with MTN for the past 9 years. My chosen upgrade was the Talk s package to include 50gig of Data, 10 000 MTN to MTN minutes(as per the special), 100 any time minutes and a Huwaie P9 Lite for R349pm for 24 months. The cnsultant Zidaan that assisted me advised that on my next debit date content of my upgrade will kick in. I had signed the upgrade forms which clearly stated that I was upgrading on the Talk S package. Zidaan had advised that I do not recieve a copy of the contract as it was merely an upgrade and I left the store just with the cellphone and no paper work. On the 2 December 2016 I had only recieved 100 any time minutes and 500 megabites of data. I immediately called the MTN call centre to enquire why I had not recieved my 50gigs of Data. The consultant had advised that my upgrade did not include the special and that I had upgraded to a Talk 100 for R500pm. This was not what I had signed for. I revisited the store the same day and was assited again by zidaan who had shown me something on the system that reflected I had upgraded on the Talk S package. He further advised that within a week I will recieve content of my ugrade.

A whole week went by and I still did not recieve anything. I went back to the store and was advised by a consultant named Nahieth that Zidaan had absconded as he had committed ***** and committed theft of some cellphones. The manager at that store was so unhelpful and did not even enquire about what was going on. Nahith had advised me that he will try and assist in migrating my contract to the correct package. I went back the next day and he had advised that there is no trace of my paperwork in store and MTN Head office therefore refuses to migrate the contract.

I went back and forth to the store for 3 weeks and had no joy. I further went to the customer service centre in Umhlanga Durban who advised they cannot assist me without the relevant paperwork. I Went in to the MTN Westwood stre again to get my paper work thinking they would have found it by now but unfortunately I recieved no help again .

I then got into contact of a regional manager Adhir of this MTN Franchise. He was on leave and had promised to assist me once he was back on duty. After attempting to call him several times I finally got a hold of him and he advised he and his staff Damian are going to sort this mess out. After a week Adhir advised that I have to wait 3 months to migrate the contract and will only be ably to get sorted on the 25 February 2017.

I have been trying to get a hold of Mr Adhir since Friday 24 February and he is not taking any of my calls or hasnt been responding to my text messages.

The imcompetancy of MTN as a whole is pathetic. Due to their negligence and incomeptence I am incurring ridiculous amounts of costs over and above the cost of the contract.

I desperately need help rectifying this.

MTN is by far the worst service provider when it comes to client liason and service.
