MTN wants to suspend my account

I am still sitting with a big issue with MTN. My device was ****** and a usage limit was increased and fully used. I was not even aware of what this usage limit was at the time or how and why it was just added to my contract when I specifically stated I want a capped account. This usage limit should have been requested as an option and not just loaded onto a sim card without the consent of the user.

How is the consumer protected in this instance? Anyone can simply dial a short cut and use thousands of Rands if they have your device without doing any security checks with MTN. Highly insecure and I would like to know what the consumer protection act would advise on this situation.

My only solution is payment plan options to be proposed to myself by MTN. I cannot afford R5.5k at one go. I need to get some legal advice on the matter also. Please do not suspend my number, I have been a loyal paying customer for 6 years and want to resolve this in a fair manner. Please advise what payment plan options are available.

I also received an e-mail from MTN to process a request and answer security reasons, what was this for?

Also, the option of content service that you mention already says unavailable so how was it used?
