MTN wants to debit me even when I’m done paying

I took a contract in 2022 February and I’m suppose to have paid my last debit on the 22nd. So now I have got an email stating I have to pay more cancellation fee. I called for cancellation and it was confirmed through emails. I have heard bad reviews about MTN n never thought I will one day face the same trauma.
