MTN voicemail is *****ed

The MTN voicemail number 132 just stopped working for me more than a year ago. It just drops the call and even tell me the number does not exist on the network but when calling my own number I can access my voicemail just like it was with 132. And now I have to pay for this call to access my voicemail! Ridiculous, is this the way MTN takes more money from you? Anybody had a similar problem?
