MTN voicemail - continued disappointment
I am so disappointed in MTN service regarding voicemail re-activation. I am trying to get my voicemail settings changed so that callers can leave messages - which is what I had until going onto prepaid. Many of the retail outlets tell me it is doable but when we try to do it, nothing actually changes. A call that was escalated a week ago has evidently been closed but the problem persists. One staff member in their call centre told me that it's not possible to to change the VM lite settings. I have sent email queries twice and didn't even get an acknowledgement of it into my inbox. Definitely considering moving away from yellow.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately your suggestion doesn't work. Here is the storY:
When I dial 111 it tells me to dial 555. When I dial 555 it tells me this is an old number and I should dial 136. I know all this from previous attempts.
When I dial 136 it eventually wants me to dial *100# and when I do that it tells me to do it again, then tells me I have made invalid selections. When I start a new call with *100# it tells me I should have dialled *132# and although I follow the prompts, it eventually tells me an error has occurred and I should contact the Call Centre. So having tried all this twice. I still have no voicemail service.
So I sit with the same problem.
Hope you have another solution.
