MTN VERY SHADY CONTRACT DEALINGS!!!!!!!!!

My MTN contract expired in May 2016. I was informed at the New Market MTN that the process to cancel the contract and go onto prepaid was to do it telephonically.

I called in June spoke to a Phindile she gave me a referance number ********** 72 and told me that my contract would be cancelled within the next 48 hours and no debit would be withdrawn at the end of the month.

During the month i received the my monthly minutes and data(to my suprise) and month end money was debited again. i called in and i spoke to another agent who told me that no information was logged onto my previous referance and this time he had cancelled the contract and thus i should expect no debit.

i received data again and an invoice saying i need to pay at the end of the month which can only mean that my contract has not been cancelled.

The guy i spoke to said immediate cancellation is not possible as this would leave my account in arrears and unable to move my number to prepaid. i have been refused two immediate cancellations now.

im seriously considering porting my number to another subscriber because this is very shady dealings from MTN.
