MTN VANGATE MALL-UNHAPPY CLIENT

Good Day,

Firstly, I would like to state that I am an extremely UNHAPPY and DISGUSTED customer for the service I have received up to date.

I am writing this post in the hopes that someone from a management or senior position can get back to me. I went into MTN Vangate Mall on the 13th of April 2019 after receiving an sms that I was due for an upgrade. I dealt with a consultant that assisted with the necessary documentation for the new phone I was meant to receive. At the time I went into store, with the new Huawei P30 Pro, customers were meant to receive a watch (to the value of about R4000-R5000) with the phone. Which might I mention was well within the promotion date.

Upon completion of my paperwork I was advised to send the address of where I wanted the watch to be delivered to, to the consultant that helped me. I was then handed over to a Huawei specialist in store (also Vangate Mall) that was meant to set the phone up for me. I would like to have on record that I was NEVER advised that as the customer, I am meant to do the warranty claim (for the watch). I was then advised that the watch would take about 3-4 weeks to arrive.

Once the phone was set up and all documents completed I left the store and when I got home I sent my work address to the consultant for the (Watch delivery). on the 24th of April 2019 (2 WEEKS AFTER RECEIVING THE WATCH IN STORE) I received an sms thanking me for submitting a Pro series purchase (which was the claim apparently). In that same week, 3 of my colleagues took out the same phone and told me that they had to do the claim for the free gifts themselves.

I then picked up the phone and asked the consultant what was going on and was then advised that the Huawei specialist did the claim for me. It was then that I knew something was going on. I was then reassured that all is in order and that the watch was well on it's way.

Once my colleagues started receiving their gifts I panicked and went into store. I then by chance ran into the Huawei specialist that reassured me that there was a delay on Hauwei's side and that i will get what was due to me.

I left the store once again. I found that I was continuously having to follow up on the status of my gift, no after sales service. Technically, this deal was never sealed and completed because nobody felt the need to keep me up to date with the entire process. I work in sales and I know what the customer is entitled to.

After not hearing from anyone, I requested the manager of the branch's number to speak to someone in a higher position, I was given the store number. After multiple and numerous calls, i searched for the manager on Facebook and drafted quite a few messaged directly to her. To date, nothing has been acknowledged!!!!!!!!!

Around the week of the 28th of May I received a call from the consultant to say that the claim the Huawei specialist was meant to do he didnt do in time and the promo then ended and they sent a wireless charger to the store for me (Which is nothing compared to the watch, including the VALUE!!!!!)

The next day the Huawei specialist called me out of the blue to find out if the consultant sorted me out. I then explained to him that both the specialist and the consultant are blaming each other and that i didnt want to be involved with the crossfire between the 2 of them.

Since then I have heard nothing, seen nothing and I am utterly disgusted in the management and staff of this mall.

If this is the case then I dont want the phone at all.

What would have made the situation seems less bad was if someone bothered to keep me updated or if management bothered to get involved. So now the consultant and the specialist gets away with *****ing over a client and *****ing with my MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MTN VANGATE MALL, YOU DO NOT DELIVER AT ALL! I DONT EVEN WANT TO RATE THEM!

I will not settle for a wireless charger to keep my mouth shut.
