MTN useless! Do not pay money to close your account!

I've been trying to close my monthly account for more than 4 weeks. I have paid the required penalty fee (approximately R5500) in store and have been in communication not only with the MTN customer care departement the MTN retention department but also the ICASA. However to no avail. I'm at my wits end.
