MTN upgrade to Huawei and phone not working with Google and MS apps - MTN cradlestone advised - now stuck with this phone

Upgrade to Huawei Nova9 and incompatibility with Google and Microsoft apps. Visited MTN Cradlestone branch and requested an upgrade to contract. We have the Huawei P30 lite which worked very well. We enquired about the new Nova 9. We were concerned about the recent issues with Google and MS but was advised that we could download apps via Petal vs Google Playstore. He has what apps we used and we mentioned the apps including Google photos, One Drive etc. These apps are unusable on the Nova and we use it for work purposes. The branch is refusing that we hand back the phones due to these issues and the MTN call centre referred us to the branch and were not very helpful. Our phones are not fully usable and MTN is ignoring our request for switch phones
