MTN Upgrade Nightmare

I am due for an upgrade and ordered my device online to avoid going into a store and also avoid upgrade fees. I receive a call the following day confirming the details of my upgrade however the consultant wants to go in store due to no availability of stock of the device I ordered. Also the consultant when asked when will more stock become available she was not aware. Later in the day I call in to confirm details again I get put through another consultant and this consultant firstly says I need to provide my ID copy along with Proof of Address. However, in the mail I received there was no mention of providing these details and when I asked the consultant to please email me with this info and I can reply to this mail just also to verify source she like I must reply to mail received but this mail received was an automated email. I am still in limbo with this upgrade and was thinking to perhaps hold out on the upgrade and upon my contract finishing up cancel all together.
