MTN upgrade nightmare
I would like to say how amazingly MTN is by keeping on sending you notifications to upgrade. So in February, I did (a customer now for 10 years), called the call center and requested an upgrade for the Lenovo laptop for R199 in February promo. A week went by and nothing happened so I called to find out that my contract was not upgraded because that was corporate (why couldn’t the consultant tell me that at the time) ???Anyway did another request with the right department and then there was no stock and I was assured I would get the device at February’s price. To my utter dismay I was informed by Thabisa that she couldn’t get ahold of me, I have 2 numbers with MTN (not rocket science) so she captured it with the new price. You are not allowed to force a new price on a customer without the customers consent. Why does MTN advertise for deals if they know they don’t have stock - say limited availability (50 max). Another point I would like to mention why does none of your call centers have access to the same system, no one can see anything because it wasn’t captured by their work group. Do yourself a favor downsize your staff get AI because robots don’t change the story later on, more cost effective for you. Secondly, an amount of R320 is due to me on my account since 2016 due to changes of contracts and nobody seems to know how to help me. Please reconcile my account and credit my account with the funds plus interest. Don’t know why I should be loyal to a brand that can’t refund my money, doesn’t have stock and has *********** staff. Re-evaluate your company goals and vision. You are losing the plot.
