MTN - Unsympathetic and Cold towards their Self Employed Customers affected by Lockdown

Being a self-employed person, the Covid-19 Lockdown was a real sore point, especially being without work for more than four months. I app**** for payment relief from MTN, all I received was a sms to confirm acknowledgement. Upon going to the next level of the lockdown, I called MTN requested a payment arrangement. The first collection agent I spoke to enquired as to how much I could afford. When I informed him of the amount, he immediately confirmed it was too little and demanded a R1000 at least. The following week MTN suspended my line, upon enquiry was I informed by Olga that I need to make another minimum payment of R2000, when I informed her that I just paid R1000 a week ago, she informed that I must pay or my line will remain suspended. I had to borrow the money to have my line unsuspended. A week later MTN suspended my line again, and the same story again, MTN demanding money again. I had to beg and plead for my line to be unsuspended; they agreed to unsuspended my line on condition I pay over three months. MTN is a company that has no sympathy on their customers and no feelings for the self-employed that were hard hit financially by the lockdown.
