MTN unable to sort out billing issue since October 2015

I have been complaining about being overcharged by MTN since October 2015 and MTN has not given me a satisfactory answer as yet. I left for Australia in June 2015 and have not used my MTN sim card full time since then, only on the weeks I was home. I would understand why I was overcharged for June as I had overused my credit, but the rest of the months, I have no idea why. I set up a limit in April 2016 and I was overcharged this month as well. I have been chasing MTN to get an answer but they are not willing to address the fact that I was not using my sim card when I was in Aus and wasn't roaming either. It has been frustrating following up with them, even though I have escalated them last week to their escalation department, ICASA, but nothing has developed from this.

I am more than willing to move on to a much more efficient service provider that values their customers complaints. All I want is to sort out this billing out. In my mind, the overpayments should be used to cover the other months that are remaining in my contract with them.

Thanks for your response. I will await the network report from MTN. Additionally, the same lady who had helped me said that when I put a limit on my spending, it works for the data too. As a result, when I am on 0 MB nothing gets updated on my phone anymore, i.e. no whatsapp texts until I load data on my phone but I STILL got overcharged for June. Please also look into this. Ta!

Additionally Itumeleng, get the network report and take it up the relevant people, because I refuse to be charged for services I did not use.

MTN, how have I not heard back from you yet? This is pathetic!
