MTN unable to resolve issues and keep on overcharging

MTN overcharged me for months, and now owes me a considerable amount of money. Instead of correcting this, they threaten me with legal action! On 22 February 2016, I canceled my daughter's contracts with MTN as it was out of its contract periods and I converted the numbers to pay-as-you-go. Reference number: ********** 92. At the beginning of October, I learned that I am still paying for both these contracts and on 6 October 2016 I contacted MTN to correct this. I also informed them that I would not pay the incorrect billing account issued to me as they owe me quite a substantial amount based on incorrect billing statements sent to me over the previous 7 months which I have paid. Reference number: ********** 98. Since then nothing has happened except for suspending my account leaving me with no services and suspending my daughter's number which is out of contract and now a pay-as-you-go number. MTN, please get your lousy ACT together, sort out your ********** account statements, stop your THREATENING SMS's when you are in the wrong and correct your DEBT with me as a matter of URGENCY!!

This issue has still not resolved. I have not received the R1712.00 as owned by MTN. I did not request for number ********** 192 to be prepaid, in fact, we do not use this number at all. On my latest (November 2016) account, I am also bee billed R164.00 for a pay as you go number ( ********** 975). This number was made (successfully) pay as you go on 22/02/2016.
I will pay the amount of R580.50 (for the one and only MTN account I have) if MTN pays the R1712.00 they owe me into my bank account and take the incorrectly billed R164.00 off my account.

I am still billed incorrectly for ********** 975
I still have no access to the amount owned by MTN. It reflects as a credit on my account, but I have no access to it.
I refuse to pay any bill until this is resolved. Come on MTN...it is almost a year now!!!
My number and my daughters PAY AS YOU GO number is both suspended from before Christmas and still going.
MTN ignored my previous two hello peter complaints.
Should I rather file a complaint with the consumer ombudsman?
