MTN Unable to provide me with customer support

I would like to be released from my contract effective immediately. I am in SA for a few days now (I work overseas and am only at home for small periods of time) and I have been unable to get any service on my contract. I want to make changes to my contract and NOONE will help me. Noone answers on 808. After days of trying I eventually got in my car and drove to the wesbank branch where I took out the contract and the lady there firstly just refused to open the door just yelled something at me about not having a card. Eventually a passer by let me in and she started yelling at me about how am i going to get out now. I then tried to ask her about my contract (I was going to upgrade but I DEF wont be doing that now) as well as changing to a different package and enabling roaming (ALL which would be more revenue for you) and she rudely told me that she cant do anything because the system is down. She also refused to take my details to call me back when it is available. <br> I do NOT accept to be treated this way, you are not providing me the service I am paying for and I refuse to be your customer any longer. Please send someone to fetch my handset you can have it back.

Hello greggvdw,

Thank you for posting.

I do know how frustrating this can be, do note that our management teams are aware of this and due to the current protest action being experienced there are delays in our customer touch points.

Kindly note this has been escalated to the relevant team to investigate. They will provide you with feedback, your contract expires on the 04/12/2015, they will provide you with early termination fees.

I hope the above is in order and would once again like to apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Regards
Jean
