MTN treats customers unfairly and don’t respond to online queries!

My debit order for September was unpaid and I manually paid the amount due by EFT on Saturday 8 September, after receiving an sms instructing me to do so. I also confirmed with a call centre consultant that the payment was made and she asked me to ignore the sms sent advising that my line will be suspended. However, on Wednesday 12 September MTN also debited my bank account with the same amount I already paid, leaving my account in overdraft! Why do MTN ask their customers to make payment if they have a facility to put through an additional debit order? I also sent this query on the MTN online contact form and I’m yet to receive a response. MTN is not a great service provider and treats their customers unfairly. Take responsibility for your mess MTN and refund the amount back to my bank account immediately. Not my cellphone account! I won’t wait longer than I already have and I will report this unfair practice to ICASA if not sorted out to my satisfaction!
