MTN tower down during load shedding

We recently installed a backup power inverter & battery system at our home in Wilderness at great expense & effort. Our goal was to remain on & connected so that we could continue to home school our children & run our home office & business during load shedding. Unfortunately we did not even consider the probability that MTN, who provide our 4G LTE internet connection via Afrihost, do not have any form of backup system for their cell tower in our area of Wilderness near George. So although our entire home now remains powered with electricity during load shedding, we still cannot online home school our kids or run our business because the MTN tower is not operational as it has no backup power system. My elderly neighbours all have MTN contracts on their mobiles, but they can’t even call an ambulance if they have to during load shedding because the MTN tower is down. Isn’t that ridiculous?
