MTN - Totally ***********

I went to the store to do an upgrade like always. But this time they told me i cant as another number i had is at legal. They confirmed the contract was cancelled 6 years ago and there is nothing owing on it so they dont know why someone put it to legal. This is completely unacceptable and the worst is the number doesnt even exist any more. I have phoned in numerous times just to speak to 10 different people who all say there is nothing they can do i must wait 24 to 72 hours. the store even warned me that they can be so *********** that it could take a month. no one can give me a number for their legal advisers. I would understand waiting if it is something i did wrong, but this is MTNs mistake, and a completely illogical mistake. how can it take so long to fix something so simple that shouldnt have been a problem to begin with. Now my upgrade has been approved and i have received the free data you get with the upgrade (which is now also going to waste and i can guarantee they wont fix that either) but the store cant give me the phone till the non existing number is out of legal. This is just a heads up if you wanting to go with MTN , that they are completely *********** of doing their jobs and they will haunt you for the rest of your life.
