MTN too big too Care about Clients

Honestly cannot wait to cancel my 18 year old relationship with MTN. Currently they just absolutely don't care about their long term serving clients. And by reading this Web page(Hello Peter is always the last option for me) I can see I am not the only one recieving bad service from them. Hardly even 1 compliment on here. A company that big with obvious competitors in the market you would think they would have a team of people just employed to browse social media/Internet platforms and respond to the client's complaints. Public perceptions are clearly not something they are concerned about. Being so large especially through out Africa they quiet frankly couldn't give a hoot if they offer you good/terrible service. From the advisors working at the call centre to the employees at the stores. Everyone seems clueless. When I took out my last contract (Monthly Debit order of R839) the Sales Advisor said I would pay R550 odd. Couldn't remember the exact figure but 100% sure it was below R600. I hardly use data as I happen to have Wifi at home and at work. So never go over the standard contract Data given. Every month I carry over minutes so I'm not getting charged for minutes used beyond the bundle. And every month the debited figure is the same. Meaning my contract is R839. So there is nothing stopping the MTN sales agent from saying "Monthly you will pay R99 sir." And to your surprise R1000 goes off your account. There is no process of being able to go back and listen to the original sales call which you agreed on. They don't send you Bill's or statements or anything really. They charge you monthly for Itemised billing but never once have I received the monthly summary of who I called or messaged through out the month.

This last month I had ********** activity on my FNB account which was temporarily suspended/inactive as a result. I informed MTN of this issue and informed them that they will not recieve the debit order for "I think the 2nd time in 17 years" (Not a bad record I'd say) and so as they did not recieve the debit order they suspended the service. I have no issue with that. Fair enough. I didn't pay and so therefore they cut my line. My issue is, I cannot even recieve calls or Sms's. My other issue is when they suspend your service you cannot call them at the call centre to speak to someone to sort something out. (Makes no sense) My issue is. I will go the entire month(by choice actually) with a suspended line and they will charge me R839 for the month of June. So they barred my service and I am going to pay for the 30 days I was not able to use it. In insurance if you don't pay(I only know this as I am in the industry) they don't double debit you as you never had cover for the month you never paid for. Makes sense. How can u charge me for something I am not able to use ? And getting anyone to contact you back or reply is impossible. So when this current duration of my contract allows me I AM OUT. Oh and I get this message on Monday.

"Yello, Please note that we are in the process of reactivating your services. Kindly allow 2 to 24 hours for reactivation. Kind Regards, MTN SA"

But nothing...

Can't wait to just Cancel Cancel Cancel this BS.
