I used to like MTN, now its service has gone to the dogs. This company now days operate like desperate daylight ****s. I have had contracts with them for the past 8 years. Two incidents happened that show MTN does not care about customer satisfaction. The first one happened in 2014(or 2016) when my contract was due to lapse and it was **********ly renewed with new higher monthly installments, and several installments deducted from my bank before they readjusted to the agreed amount, and I have never reimbursed my money. When I enquired I was told that Nigerians hacked their system and several of their customers were affected. The second which was my last contract happened recently I started a new contract in September 2018, the monthly payment was R169pm for 24 months, however, the started by deducting R259 for three to four months I went to the store several months protesting the amount being deducted from my bank account. Initially, I was promised that I will be reimbursed, and later I was told my account will be credited with money towards the end of my contract. I must state that I was neither credited nor reimbursed my money, and although my contract has lapsed in September it was not closed until mid-November, even though I have communicated with MTN personnel not to extend my contract for almost three months prior to my contract lapsing. To rub salt into the wound when this last contract lapsed MTN extended my contract without my consent at the same time increasing month-to-month to R259pm before it was successfully terminated. Note that every time when I reversed unauthorized deductions by MTN I am punished by the bank. Calling MTN to lodge complaints has become a fruitless exercise. My contact number ***
