MTN THINKS THEY ARE ABOVE THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT

The number of the LTE we want to cancel is *** and it a Huawei 4G Router 2 Pro model b612-233.

I have emailed the ombudsman. I am also printing out each email. I am printing out my call logs proving how many hours I have spent on the phone with MTN. I have witnesses at the mtn store that we phoned to cancel the faulty service who heard nomphilo say that someone would phone me back which never happened.

I have here an email admitting that all the time, since my having bought the router and sim on the 19th October, that mtn had the tower blocked. All the time after countless hours of phone calls and visits to the store, not one of these incompetant agents unblocked the cell tower so we could get signal.

So in summary, for 37 days, we have had a sim card and a router which has been unable to connect to the internet. For 37 days, we have been phoning, trying to resolve the issue.

I do not want the service anymore. It has cost me 5 trips to mtn tambotie store, 100 minutes at my expense of phoning mtn, 3 hours holding on for mtn's incompetant cancellations department and 28 emails back and forth trying to sort this mess out.

No one wants to take responsibility, mtn just pushes a person from one department to another. They do not transfer you, they merely tell you to phone and push option whatever. We phone cancelation department to be told that they have to phone us back. They still have not phoned us back. They send us a bill of R954.00! A bill for what? We have received no service! They have the cheek to tell us we will pay a cancelation fee. We must pay R954.00 for a service we have not received. We will be penalized because THEY breached contract????

You guys said so yourselves that the tower was locked. How come in all the hours of being on the phone with your *********** agents did no one unlock a tower? Why must we as customers who have put our trust in you, be penalized? This is not fair and it is not legal.

I have requested on several occasions that the deal be canceled. I have not received the service once in more than 30 days.
