MTN, the truth behind their advetising campaign.

<p>I have been a MTN client for going on 8 years now, I have multiple contracts with them. One of my contracts is due for an upgrade. I requested the new Sony Xperia XZ, as advertised in MTN's catalogue, only to be told that they do not have it in stock. I decided to wait a few days and try again. I have been waiting a month now, I have spoken to multiple people from MTN on the phone, and visited 3 shops. No one is able to assist me. The phone that MTN has been advertising for the last month as available, they have never had in stock. After all I have gone through with MTN in the last month I have reached the conclusion that they advertised the phone for the following reasons. 1. To create the illusion that they have the newest devices available. The fact that Vodacom has the phone probably has something to do with it. 2. They want to attract people hoping they can convince you to take another device. (this last point is because everyone I spoke to tried to convince me to get another phone, even after I told them I'm not interrested they kept on trying. MTN even called me back to try and convince me to take another phone.)</p>
