MTN... The saga continues
OK so now we already know that MTN blows up the device price for if and when you cancel.

Say contract is R242 / month and you cancel in 15 months. That means roughly speaking you owe them the cost of the device - logically. Which means it should not exceed the remaining amount of contract fees per month - hence R242 x 9 = R2178 (In fact it must be less, as you only owe the device costs, not the contract which is now null void.

MTN found the loop hole in the Consumer Protect Act of course. Nowhere it states the original cost of the device.

Thumb-suck a value an BOOM you make money. Or force the client to stay and deal deal with Ka Aye Ka service.

My original problem is trying to pay my accounts, it seems MTN is not wanting my money - for the past 5 months now. So far I have tried everything - my details are correct (quite a few hours spent on their help line - being continuously disconnected - from a land-line to land-line??? Millions of emails)

I have underlined, bolded, uppercased, highlighted in yellow - how do they want my details to be corrected. Yet they were very VERY quick to report me to Legal. And it will simply happen again this month I am afraid.

UTTERLY PATHETIC
