MTN THE BULLY

If there is one thing I detest in this world it’s a bully, in this case the corporate one…MTN.

A month ago I wrote about them unilaterally upgrading me in Dec.’22, an upgrade that will cost me almost R200/m more, something I cannot afford because I’m a pensioner. And how I cannot get them ti cancel their action.

They processed the new debit order beginning of February, which I stopped, and then paid them manually.

Today my wifi is not working so I visited the store closest to me, who informed me my account is suspended, both wifi and my normal mobile line.

The store informed me that it was not an upgrade in Dec.’22, but I migratedI The dictionary tells me “ to migrate” is to move from one place to another. In cellular terminology we learned one can migrate from one service provider to another; something I did in 2021.

So, I am the culprit. MTN upgrades/migrates me, I cannot get them to cancel it, and they expect me to pay for it, from funds I don’t have…Because I don’t have the funds, they suspend my account, and now I have no access to my mobile phone.
