MTN telemarketer Contract ****

Was conned by online MTN marketers into a amending MTN data contract (with assurances that it has no other contractual obligations). Turns out it became a new contract , which increased my device upgrade cycle by another year. End result is, after 2 years I wanted to upgrade due to phone damage, but am faced with a R9000 upgrade penalty, for a device which should already have been paid off. Apparently quite a common occurrence and there is no mechanism to remediate this.
