MTN SUCKS

MTN recently took over AUTOPAGE and i was one of the unfortunate victims. i went from an average billing of R800 to a billing of over R2000 a month.

I queried this both telephonically and then at the MTN Customer Services at the Pavilion at the BEGINNING of April, following a secong billing that was NOT in keeping with my average.

i provided copies of my contract with all the add ons and still they persisted with arguing their case. They had neglected to load the terms and add-ons as per my AUTOPAGE CONTRACT, effectively negating the Data packages.

After dealing with very arrogant verablly challenged idiot at the counter , i wasnt surprised to have a conversation with yet another victim, a pensioner who was on a R100 type contract who after the 'takeover' was slapped with a bill over R3000, two months in row (despite lodging a complaint - any surprise here - see a trend?).

I was GUARANTEED that all issues would be resolved and the packages loaded and itemised billing re-activated (since that had also vapourised). I'm still waiting.

i have since received the next cycle of billing (3rd one) and YES, you guessed correctly, the billing is STILL not reflecting the data package and is now at nearly R4000 (accumulative).

Contacted MTN Customer services yesterday and yet again i was reminded of MTN lack of abilities to resolve or answer any questions. I am yet to receive an refund and as of my conversation yesterday, have been made aware that my NEXT cycle of billing - which runs mid month to mid month - will ALSO be incorrect.. so that is now FOUR MONTHS

My solution - STOP ORDER AT THE BANK. CANCEL CONTRACT (which was NEVER signed with MTN - only AUTOPAGE - who incidently were AMAZING).

Their theory - let us keep debiting your account with more than 3 x the amount you should be paying, and maybe, one day, if we feel like it, we might address out own stuff up.

Who else has experienced this problem with their contracts taken over from AUTOPAGE?

Reviewer Update

All documentation gas been handed in to the customer services at Pavilion. .. we are now in July and STILL NO RESOLUTION. I have been told that it has been escalated to a supervisor... and yet still no courtesy of a reply or feedback.

I will NEVER EVER recommend MTN To another living soul. . This is beyond disgusting on so many levels. Contact Viwe Cokoto or Siva Francis of the Pav site for info as they are my contacts there so far.
