MTN Store Outlet - Fenrdale on Republic - Worst Store to go to

I needed to Rica my new Sim card that i bought from Mtn. I went to the Mtn outlet in the shopping center, Ferndale on Republic. Firstly the manager and staff were sitting at the door(no social distancing). I stood at the door for 30 seconds, no one greeted me. I was than asked, ' what am i there for'. I explained that i needed to Rica my new sim card. I was told ' just sign here and sanitize'. When finished signing in, I was looking for the guy that i spoke to, I was not directed where to go. I than saw him sitting behind a hub and asked must I come there, he than responded, ' where else are you going to go, cant you see me sitting here!', I then went to him and sat down. He asked me to give my sim card and ID, I told him that I do not have the pin to open the phone, he than sighed and said 'why did I not come prepared?' he then said the number is blocked and he cant help me as I did not use it within 30 days. So I asked how can they help me as I have chosen this number for my business and have made business cards already and I still need the number. He then said he wants to check something and tried to log back into the system, the system did not take his password and locked him out, he than exclaimed and said ' oh F**k', the manager then came and unblocked him and they were speaking in another vernacular and than said these people coming to Rica cause lots of problems. He then told me there is nothing he can do to help me and I must call the help line for MTN. I asked what number and he said I must google it. This was repulsive behaviour towards anyone. No human etiquette at all. This was everyone in the MTN store. Everyone is busy on their phones, no one greets you. They not eager to help or guide you. They didn't say sorry they cant help me, or give me the call centre number. This is my first time getting an MTN number as I was always on Vodacom and never have I ever experienced such behaviour.

In these trying times you would think that people would be more courteous and helpful. I guess MTN doesn't see the need for that.

All those staff should get warnings, as they cannot speak to people however they want and there is no re percussions.

Very disappointed with MTN.
