MTN Stole my number

I have been a customer of MTN from 1998, supported them and worked with them.

Recently i learned that my Cellphone that i use for business purposes was de-activated. My clients did not phone any more, and thus i phoned them. They informed me that another person is answering my phone, and thus they could not reach me to do business.

After contacting this person, she said that MTN gave her this number, she has been using it for almost a month at that stage. I contacted MTN, and we discussed the matter. I asked for the manager to send me an email containing the official position of MTN, which i never recieved. Phoning again and again, never getting the feedback that was promised, nor getting the matter resolved.

I have marketing and adverti*****t branding which contains this MTN number, I cannot afford to just change everything because MTN decided to give my number away. If they do decide to do so, i think a common courtesy sms would be in order.

I am very disgusted in the service i got, as well as the fact that the stole my number.

I did not purchase a prepaid starter pack, it was transferred from a contract to pay as you go. Please provide me with the contract/agreement where I signed for the terms and conditions. Also, did MTN contact me at any stage to inform me about the de-activation of the account? PS: I am still awaiting the promised email, haven't heard from MTN since our last discussion. Why would you promise something to someone if you do not intend to keep that promise?

No replies, just a generic response. Just shows the type of business MTN is running, ******* and *****!
