MTN *****ing our money

My Husband and I both have contracts through MTN for many years and over the past year we have had endless issues with our bill being higher than our contract subscription.

About 3 months ago our account was over by about R280 and they said that it was for a subscription that I was not even aware of. When asked what I was subscribed to they advised that I should check on my phone and check the content subscription option which I did and there was nothing. We phoned MTN again and surprising enough they could now see what it was and cancelled it but I was held liable for the costs. No accountability on their side or even proof that I subscribed.

Well now again we queried the bill on my husbands phone and guess what, same issue and these are sites we do not even go to. In any case you have to accept terms and conditions to subscribe to something. Once again the bill for this is 410 which they insist we must pay.

Is this MTN's way of making up for the money they lost out on during the strike. So now they invented the \Subscription"argument to ***** our money"""

Hello AnneleneD,

Thank you for taking my call earlier.

Once again i do apologize for the breakdown in service experienced.

As per our discussion i've only found content charges on the invoices for the months of May & July 2015 (R12.32 & R21.12 excl. VAT). We will credit the account accordingly for the content charges and we can confirm that the subscriptions has been cancelled.

Once again we do apologize for the breakdown in service experienced.

Regards
Tim
