Mtn *****ing airtime

I did a number change and a swim swap But unused airtime was not transfer Only my data and SMS was transfer When I questioned I was told it got lost somewhere in the air and I cannot get it back I'm a contract user..I feel I am paying for it and it cannot just disappear I've sent several emails to their customer service department but in vain
